The film opens with near-still images that gradually resolve into an iris. A polyphonic voice-over recounts the experience of having one’s iris photographed at a commercial iris-photography “gallery,” while exposing contradictions, questions of authorship, and the popular fascination with eye imagery that lies behind this kind of business.
Following a recorded session at a well-known franchise, I rebuilt my iris as a 3D model from the captured image and produced a three-voice piece, performed by Lars Herman Hegg alongside two AI voices.
